It takes a village to raise a child.

In a child’s life, parents are usually the primary caregivers. With an autism diagnosis, parents often feel helpless and stressed.

Luckily, there are more and more information and support. Some help with funding, and some help with respite. Some help with understanding what autism is and provide directions on how parents could help their children thrive.

Grandparents and siblings also play important parts in a child’s life. They, too, need support and to understand what challenges a family with a child on the spectrum could face.

In the ideal situation, the child with autism is surrounded by people who love him or her, and who learn to understand his or her challenges.
